Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga emphasizes physical postures (asanas) and breath control (pranayama). Hatha classes provide a little more time and space for demonstrations, adjustments and making a mind-body connection, especially helpful for those who are new to the practice of yoga or have been away from their practice for a while. Hatha is an excellent foundation for other forms of yoga, as well. As with all of Mountain Yoga classes, props and modifications are encouraged.

Vinyasa Yoga

While a bit faster paced than Hatha, Mountain Yoga’s vinyasa classes are geared toward Beginner - Level 1 practitioners but are suitable for all levels. Build strength and flexibility as you flow through this class. We’ll practice breath synchronization, mindfulness, and the mind-body connection. Again, props and modifications are encouraged.

Restorative Yoga

Slow and deliberate Restorative Yoga emphasizes relaxation and stress reduction. Asanas (poses) are held from five to 20 minutes,  and props - such as blankets, bolsters and blocks - are encouraged. Beautiful crystal sound bowls may be used during Mountain Yoga Restorative classes. Restorative Yoga is a great way to end the workweek, begin a workweek or after a challenging day.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that emphasizes slow, sustained poses held for anywhere from three to seven minutes. Unlike more heat-generating yoga styles, it targets the body’s deeper connective tissues—such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia—rather than focusing solely on the muscles. This practice helps enhance flexibility, promote better circulation, and relieve stress.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga offers a gentle and accessible way for people of all ages and abilities to experience the benefits of yoga. By using a chair for support, individuals with limited mobility, balance challenges, or joint pain can safely practice poses that improve flexibility, strength, and circulation. This form of yoga also helps reduce stress and increase mental clarity through mindful breathing and relaxation techniques. Chair yoga is especially beneficial for older adults or those recovering from injury and supports both physical well-being and emotional resilience in an inclusive and adaptable format.
